This is the second module of a six-module programme during 2017-2018. Modules can be attended individually.
The case-study part of this module features the unusual business model of Brunello Cucinello's fashion house with 1,200 employees and €450 net revenues. The study will be led by Enrique Aznar who is Group Chief Values & Culture Transformation Officer with VimpelCom at their headquarters in Amsterdam. It is the world’s 6th largest mobile network operator by subscribers (214 million) with over 60,000 employees and annual revenues of $23bn, and is listed as an ADS on the New York Stock Exchange.

Ethical leadership: working to transform an organisation
and enrich the lives of others
Professor Carlos Rodríguez-Lluesma works in the Department of Managing People in Organizations at IESE Business School in Spain. He has held various teaching and research positions at Stanford University, where he obtained his second PhD. Earlier he completed a Masters and a PhD in philosophy at the University of Glasgow and at the University of Navarre respectively. He has considerable hands-on experience as a freelance consultant in industries such as financial services, biotechnology, consumer goods and management consulting. He also serves as an advisor to a political consulting start-up in Silicon Valley. IESE, which was ranked first in the world for executive education by the Financial Times in May 2016 for the second year in a row, is delivering the Leadership for Growth programme for Enterprise Ireland in 2017.

Dr Richard Keegan is Manager of the Competitiveness Department at Enterprise Ireland, and an international specialist in Lean/World Class Business, Benchmarking and Sustainability, advising major companies across Europe. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Business School at Trinity College Dublin.

A whole-person approach
Dr Michelle Hammond teaches organisational behaviour and work psychology at the University of Limerick, and earned her PhD at Pennsylvania State University. Growing up in the US, she realized that she had an interest in making workplaces better in her first job in an ice cream shop at age 15. She noticed that even a few simple changes could make the working experience so much better for staff. She has always been fascinated with understanding the different ways people think. This lead her to study psychology, move and work abroad, marry an engineer, and raise three very different little personalities. She is particularly attracted to exploring life’s interesting paradoxes, such as when holding leadership positions doesn’t always equate to feeling like a leader, being involved in family and community is both wonderfully enriching and sometimes depleting, and sometimes needing to take a few steps back to move forward. She has co-authored an award-winning book on leader development, published widely in academic journals, and is a registered psychologist in Ireland.
Dr Rachel Clapp-Smith has always been fascinated by the topic of leadership, but her concept of leadership was truly broadened when a year studying abroad in Munich, Germany morphed into a 5-year stint managing multi-cultural teams in the IT industry. She discovered that IT was not her passion, but global leadership is. She quickly put herself in a situation where she could explore global leadership development in detail: academia. Since then, Rachel has persistently tested her cultural frames of leadership by traveling internationally when possible and exposing her two small children to multiple cultures. Rachel has coached managers enrolled in the EMBA at Purdue University Northwest and found that coaching can benefit managers at any stage of their career.
